QUIZ CREW Privacy Policy

The short version:
QUIZ CREW uses Google AdMob to display advertisements and Google Analytics for Firebase to analyze app usage. These services may collect certain device and usage data to provide and measure ads and understand app performance. QUIZ CREW does not require user accounts and does not collect or store names or email addresses. The app may collect pseudonymous gameplay statistics (for example, which questions are asked and how many answers are correct or incorrect) solely to improve the gameplay experience.

1. Information We Collect

QUIZ CREW does not collect or store names, email addresses or user accounts. We don’t ask for account details (name/email) and we don’t directly store them. The app may collect pseudonymous gameplay statistics, such as which questions or topics are shown and how many answers are correct, incorrect, or timed out. This information is used only to improve the gameplay experience and does not directly identify individual users and is used only in an aggregated or pseudonymous manner.

Users do not need to provide any personal information or credentials to play QUIZ CREW, and team names are used only in-app on the device and are not sent to our servers or to analytics. We and our service providers may process device identifiers and usage data for ads/analytics. Ad interaction data such as impressions and clicks may be collected pseudonymously to improve advertising delivery.

The app contains advertising provided by Google AdMob, which may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)

• IP address and approximate location

• Device information (model, OS version, language settings)

• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

• App usage data relevant to ad delivery

This data is collected and processed by Google as a service provider. We do not receive it in a form that directly identifies users.

The app also uses analytics services provided by Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4) to collect usage and device data. This may include information such as app interactions, device information, and general usage patterns (for example, number of correct answers, incorrect answers, timeouts, and time spent on questions). This data is used solely to analyze and improve app experience and does not identify individual users.

2. How Data Is Used

Data collected via Google AdMob is used to display, deliver, measure, and improve advertisements in the app, including ad reporting, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. QUIZ CREW does not collect user accounts and does not receive information such as names or email addresses from AdMob. AdMob and its partners may process device identifiers (such as the device’s advertising identifier) and usage data in accordance with Google’s policies.

In addition, usage and device data collected through Google Analytics for Firebase is used to understand app performance (e.g., feature usage, crashes/diagnostics if enabled) and improve gameplay experience.

• Legal basis (EEA/UK): Where permitted, we process analytics data based on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the app (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where required by applicable law, processing for personalized advertising and/or analytics is based on the user’s consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Users can withdraw consent at any time in the app’s Privacy settings (and, on iOS, via system tracking choices where applicable).

• User rights (EEA/UK): Users in the EEA/UK have rights including access, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with their data protection authority. Because QUIZ CREW does not maintain accounts or direct identifiers, we may not be able to identify or retrieve data relating to a specific individual without additional information (such as a device advertising identifier). In some cases, requests may need to be handled through Google’s privacy controls and settings.

3. Third-Party Services – Google AdMob & Google Analytics

We use Google AdMob, an advertising service by Google LLC, to display ads. Google operates under its own privacy policy:

Users can opt out of personalized advertising via Google’s Ads Settings:

We also use Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4), an analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how users interact with the app. Google Analytics may collect device and usage data as described above. This data is processed according to Google’s privacy policy:

We use Firebase Remote Config to deliver configuration values (for example, update requirements).

Collected data may be processed by Google on servers located outside a user’s country. Google’s processing is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

4. App Store & Google Play Disclosures

To help understand what may be listed in the App Store and Google Play privacy disclosures, please note:

Advertising (Google AdMob): Ads may involve the use of device identifiers (such as the Advertising Identifier), IP address, and ad interaction data (such as ad impressions and clicks) for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and—if user permits—personalized advertising.

Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase / GA4): The app may collect app usage and performance data (for example, screens viewed and gameplay events) to help us understand and improve the app.

Configuration (Firebase Remote Config): We use Remote Config to deliver app configuration values (for example, update requirements) and improve stability and user experience.

On iOS, tracking permission is managed via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our app does not use cookies directly. However, Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. On iOS, we request permission via ATT before accessing the device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) and before using data for personalized ads/attribution where ATT applies. Users may change their preferences at any time in the device settings.

EEA/UK: When required, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for consent for advertising personalization and/or measurement. Users can change their choices any time in the app via Settings → Privacy settings → Privacy choices.

Google Analytics for Firebase may also use device identifiers and similar technologies to collect usage data for analytics purposes.

6. Children’s Privacy

QUIZ CREW is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. These ads are not intended to target children under 13.

If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without verified parental consent, we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.

If a user believes that a child under 13 may have provided information through the app, they can contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Data Security

We do not store names, email addresses or user accounts on our own servers. Any pseudonymous gameplay statistics collected by the app are used only for improving gameplay and do not identify individual users. Data handled by Google AdMob is subject to Google’s security practices. Please refer to Google’s privacy policy for details.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. However, some ad-related data sharing may be considered a ‘sale’ or ‘sharing’ under California law (California Consumer Privacy Act – CCPA). Users can opt out of personalized ads via our in-app privacy choices (where available) and their device settings. To opt out, users can also use Google’s opt-out tools at adssettings.google.com or adjust their device’s advertising settings.

9. Users’ Choices & Opt-Out

Users can limit ad tracking at any time:

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable for QUIZ CREW

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads

• Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com

For data processed by Google services (AdMob/Analytics), users may also use Google’s privacy controls and tools described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

10. Data Retention

QUIZ CREW does not store names, email addresses or user accounts of users. Pseudonymous gameplay statistics may be retained only for the purpose of improving the gameplay experience and analyzing app performance. Any data collected through advertising services such as Google AdMob is processed and retained according to Google’s own privacy policies.

Analytics data retention is configured in Google Analytics for Firebase and is retained according to our GA4 retention settings and Google’s policies. (policies.google.com)

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage users to review this policy periodically.
